This baroque programme was developed for a night concert and premiered at the Trigonale Festival in 2014, an Early Music Festival in Corinthia, southern Austria. It is inspired by the song of a nightingale and by four composers – Antoine Forqueray, Giramolo Frescobaldi, Bellerofonte Castaldi and Tobias Hume – who are spinning a nocturnal spider web through the programme.
The performance included the world premiere of the piece by Tristan Schulze: “Sonett Nr. 8”, which was comissioned for this programme and first performed on September 13th, 2014.
